Im going to try to be diligent for 2010 and post a photo for each day of this year - Project 365 :)

It will be hard as I usually capture lots of photos some days and others i forget.

With the Australian Scout Jamboree happening too, I know there will be hundreds of photos taken most days - so chosing will be difficult!

So on to day one :)

Our First Family photo together for 2010, last one was when Mitchell was about 5 - almost 5 years back! Not perfect, taken on a timer, but hey we are all together :)

House/family update.

Our poor old kitchen is getting the chop, and making way for the internal stairs to go in. This kitchen used to look so much better when it had bright yellow cupboards to match the bring green benchtop lol Rob did ask when we bought 2 years ago if i wanted to redo the kitchen, but we decided it would be silly seeing as we were going to expand downstairs anyway - and i wanted the pool in for the kids lol

So this big green patch is where the stair hole will be in a day or so and i am left with less than half a kitchen, for a few weeks lol

This is going to be our Garage/carport slab will be.

Our new family member, miss Penelope Pitt(stopp) lol

and we have another water baby ladies and gents. Micah just LOVES The pool, not sure if it is because he loves being with the big kids or because it is a big bath for him.

Lilly modelling our new front door - we spent alot of time thinking/agonising over it, and i picked the glass out too. looks really nice.

and here are our stairs :) They are old stairs from another building, which rob ran thru a thicknesser - The timber is ironbark, I cant wait for them to go in!

Time is slipping away from me this year, Caleb and Lilly's birthdays loom along with Christmas shortly behind them.

Much has been happening at our place, our house has been having some changes - it has attracted alot of attention from people passing by due to the heights it reached. We were living in the "Jenga" house for a while lol

Our house was slightly wobbly when the kids ran through the house while it was up on the blocks, but I am so much happier when it was rested down on the blocks. We lived in it during the process, I vacated for the day while they were jacking it up though :)

The stairs from the rear of the house, are for now, on the front of the house. There wont be any external stairs, just 1 set of internal. I love my bifold doors at the back, they let in so much fresh air & breeze, will definately be a bonus in summer time!

Right now, there are timber frames up for all the rooms under the house, and Rob is busy getting ready for the ceiling and walls to go in, after the plumber and sparky have been.

LOVE this photo atm, from around Fathers day, got to love the big bit of baby dribble about to hit Rob :)

There has been alot of this going on around here lately, along with some rocking, and going backwards and spinning round in circles ..... We are all waiting for the big event of Crawling to happen, watching in anticipation, you might be able to hear the excited squeals when it happens :)

Time moves so fast

It amazes me that our Little Micah is now 4.5 months old. Every day he brings us so much love and Joy, not to mention delightful smiles and baby squeals/gurgles/chatter. Even when he wakes in the middle of the night and i think he is a little ratbag, he smiles at me when i pick him up and I love the time i spend with him. Mind you, Rob has been getting up to him lately, and i can hear him chatting away to him, just like I do lol

Just look at his beautiful little mouth and those way cute chubby cheeks, they are so round and atm they are rather rosy red as he is working on his first little tooth.
Got to catch up with the Wyles kiddies on the Holidays when I picked Lilly up from her visit.

Got to love winter, all snuggled down for a sleep :)

Micah has found his hands, loves to hold on to things - if you are holding him, it is your hair or shirt, on Rob it is his chest hairs lol He is so alert and loves looking at everything, loves being outside, everything seems to captivate him. He has rolled over onto his tummy a couple of times, he loves to wriggle about and roll onto his side alot.

Big kids are doing well, Caleb is getting over Whooping Cough, our whole family was housebound until we took a full course of antibiotics, and they made us all sicker! Mitchell is in the top 23% of kids in computer studies, as he did a test earlier in the year and received a credit for it, clever munchkin! Caleb has been busy spending time at school after hours working with the production crew on a play, he is in the tech box doing the lights & his first high school report card was really good, got really wonderful comments from his teachers. Lilly's Patrol came 3rd at Triple S over the school holidays in their camping standards, out of about 800 other scouts, and they came 2nd in the talent show as well.

Life moves too fast, I seem to be saying that alot this year, wish i could slow it all down and just capture it all.

Micah's Blessing Day - 7 June

What a special day in our family. Micah looked so cute in his little outfit, which Caleb Wore almost 14 years ago for his Naming Ceremony, and Mitchell for his 8 years ago. I can't remember who made the little booties for him, but they were just perfect :)

Micah got to share his special day with Anya ( about 6 or 7 weeks old),

The blessing was lovely, well what i could hear of it. As soon as The blessing started and the men laid their hands on Micah he began crying. Then as soon as it was finished, he was nice and quiet. lol go figure. Bishop said he must not have liked his name lol

I can't believe how quickly the last 3 months have gone!! Micah is so engaging all the time, he is so alert and watches every move you make. He recognizes his family. When Rob comes home, he hears his voice and looks around for him, and then lights up with a big smile when he finds him. He still loves his bath time and still gets upset when he has to get out, and cries louder when he has to get dressed. He is such a wonderful sleeper, about 2 weeks ago he began sleeping from 9 - 12 hours a night, no idea how this is happening, he just does it.

We are also very excited atm as our loan has been approved for us to do our house extensions!! We will be doubling our current living space. We are jacking up our house, and building in underneath and also building a garage attached to the house. Downstaris will be living area (lounge, kitchen, dining, office etc) and upstairs will then become all bedrooms, and a small rumpus room for the kids, with the exsisting toilet and bathroom still in place. We can't wait to get started!

Micah 2 1/2 Months old

Time moves so fast in our home lately. I t seems to just slip away so quickly. I fee like i don't get much done, other than look after our little man. I am lucky have a great family who all pitch in and help :)

Micah is doing great, he is growing and changing so much all the time. We all adore his gorgeous chubby cheeks. His gurgles are happening all the time now, and his gorgeous smiles melt our hearts. He recognizes us all quickly and he now reacts to all the noises he hears. When he is trying to go to sleep, noises will startle him if they are loud. But once asleep, he will sleep through most noises.

His worst time of day is around 4 - 6pm, when he has had enough of the day, wants a bath and to go to bed. But he struggles with the going to sleep thing and fights a bit, which is normal for most bubs around this time of day so i have heard lol He LOVES the bath!! If he is crying and you go run the water for the bath, he quietens down instantly and he will stay in there for ages, kicking and splashing around. Howls when he has to come out and get changed - we don't like this dressing and undressing business at all lol

Rob makes Micah smile and gurgle by whistling at him, it is so funny to watch, and no one else can do it either. I tried to whistle at him, nope, no smile, he just likes Daddys Whistling! lol

Micah LOVES his musical mobile!! he lays there and chats away to it for ages, it just runs down too quickly for me!

Micah sleeps so well of a night, he usually goes to sleep around 6pm - 7pm and then he will wake anywhere from 1am - 3am. He has a good 2 or 3 naps of a day time, and when he is awake we spend some time outside in the pram while i garden or hang the washing out.

Micah Loves to be on his tummy, and having no nappy on as well lol Every day he has some floor time, and he wriggles about, the legs kicking madly.

My other Children (laughs) Are doing great!

Mitchell is off on a cubscout camp this weekend which he is really looking forward to. Lilly and Caleb are Scout camping this weekend as well with Rob.

Mitchell and Lilly have not long finished doing the yr 3 and 7 tests that have happened Australia wide, and we are all glad they are over!

Lilly is busy preparing some paperwork for Highschool next year, for which class level she might enter into.

Caleb is busy preparing and planning for a one night overnight hike with some scouts, he is doing all the paperwork and planning, for his Explorer level cord - Im nervous, he is excited lol

Rob and I are awaiting on money from the bank to begin our house renovations, which we are all very excited about!! We are jacking up the house and building completely in underneath - all living area, consisting of lounge, dining, kitchen, bathroom, laundry, storage room and an office. Upstairs will be all bedrooms when it is finished. Rob is getting excited, been taking loads of stuff to the dump, clearing away bushes and trees.

In my spare time, I have begun to do a little bit of quilting again, I have an EyeSpy quilt for Mitchell i need to quilt together, so I have begun stippling that. I have also been getting a few digital LOs done for Micah, which I am loving, No mess, no having to put stuff away, and it doesnt take up any room. But life goes along at a nice pace, my days are really enjoyable, I don't even mind all the nappies I have to wash, as we have gone completely cloth - using prefolds (the old fluffy white nappies) as well as some Haute's, which are awesome! They are brilliant and we havent used a disposable nappy since Micah was 2 weeks old! There is something theraputic about hanging nappies on the clothes line for me :)

I can't believe how quickly time is passing, my days seem to drift away and I get nothing done lol. This baby so loves the water. The other 3 always loved their baths too, I guess it reminds them of where they came from before they entered the world!

It is official, Micah is now smiling!! I popped him in bed with Caleb this morning for a cuddle, and he let of a huge series of smiles while looking at Him and me. It was well after his feed, and he had done loads of burps, so it wasn't wind :) We have been getting a few gurgle chats as well, just little ones, which we all go silly over when he does them of course!

This photo cracks me up! Lilly was changing Micah the other day, and he wouldnt keep his head still to pull the shirt down over his head. He looks like some kind of little flower lol

Micah spent his first night in his cot last week, he looks so tiny in there!

Oh we do have other children as well lol Lilly took a tumble off the Go cart over Easter, and earnt herself some time at the hospital with concussion and some serious bruising.

Day 4
She had bruising under her right eye, down the cheek and right across her top lip where the main impact was. the first night she could barely eat anything as her lip was so huge!

It only took a week for it to all go away, and she is much better now :)

and then there is Mitchell - who came 16th in his cross country yesterday - out of all the yr 3, 4 and 5s. He is in yr 3, so that was pretty impressive for his little legs!

In our home there has been alot of this going on lately by me ......

Time sure seems to move fast now this little bundle has arrived into our lives. I feel like i spent the last 9 months with time dragging along, waiting for him to arrive in our world. The last 2 months seemed like forever.

And now, time is moving way to quickly, each day that passes, i feel a bit sad that he is growing so quickly.

I am constantly amazed by the love shown by Caleb, Lilly & Mitchell towards him. Not once hint of jealousy as of yet, other than being jealous at how long each other has with Micah lol

Caleb is just the best big brother, he even has changed poopy nappies! Makes my heart melt watching him with Micah, the love and tenderness he shows - he just loves his hugs with our little man.

Lilly is the little mum, she fusses over him more than I do! She loves dressing him, giving him baths, holding him and marveling with me at everything he does. Not to mention wanting to pick him up everytime he squeaks lol

She loves to take photos of him too, here is a series of him *smiling* I am sure it is wind though, as he has to give his first smiles to his Mumma I am sure lol

He loves the bath, and has had a bath with everyone in the family now in the big bath - i think we used the baby bath like 2 times i think! But the little bouncer thing we bought for the bath is great, we use that heaps in the big bath with him.

He has the most amazing eyes, they aren't the usual baby blue, they are really dark. They will probably end up brown like Lilly's but at the moment they look like a steel grey color.

Mitchell doesn't get too much of a look in with Micah, but he does love to talk & sing to him when he can get near him.

What can i say? He is just perfect and we are all so besotted by little Micah. He consumes most of our waking thoughts, and I just love holding him and looking at this little perfect baby we have in our family. We are so blessed to have him join our family.

Our family is playing the waiting game at the moment, we are 6 weeks and counting until the arrive of our newest family member. We are all so very excited, especially the kids, I swear Lilly thinks she will have exclusive rights to the baby lol

I haven't blogged in over a year now, I wonder where that time has disappeared to?
